Sleep in this Saturday? Not these girls. They got up bright
and early to participate in this year’s Color Me Rad 5K hosted at UVU. After
some pre-race pictures in their white T shirts they were ready to get them
dirty. Savannah and Keala also proudly sported their snazzy tutus, which I hope
you all checked out. They have skills.
Upon reaching the starting line the girls got pumped up and
ready with a dance party near the front of the stage where UVU’s green man band
played live. At last it was Go Time. At
the sound of the horn they were off, passing me (Haley Terry) in a blur!
In what seemed like no time, Savannah was the first girl to
pass me from my position at the last checkpoint before the finish. She gave me
a smile as she raced by kicking up a cloud of color. Not too long after, Lyndsey rushed by followed
by everyone else. There was laughter and
smiles all around on everyone’s now pink, blue, green, yellow and orange faces!
At the end of this RAD-iculous race our friends celebrated
by throwing handfuls of chalk colors and leaping for joy in front of the finish
line. CONGRATS to everyone who participated! You all looked awesome!
